About Rocci Johnson

Rocci is co-owner and manager of the legendary Humpin' Hannah's, 621 Main in the heart of Downtown Boise; a hugely popular and successful nightclub for over 45 years. For over three decades, Rocci Johnson can be found performing weekly for packed houses at Humpin’ Hannah’s ias the wildly entertaining head of the Rocci Johnson Band. She produces and directs many events and shows throughout the year at Hannah’s and other venues in Idaho and beyond. 

Rocci served several terms on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Boise Association, and is actively involved in many projects adding to the vitality and livability of Boise. She currently serves as president of FARE Idaho (Food, Agriculture, Restaurants & drinking Establishments), a one-of-a-kind non-profit trade organization that grew out of the need for advocacy and representation for the Idaho food and beverage industry during the pandemic crisis. FARE works on behalf of independent farmers, ranchers, wineries, beer producers and more, in order to strengthen and connect Idaho’s food supply chain from field to fork and glass. 

Rocci has also created and chaired countless charitable and community events in support of domestic and sexual violence victims, veterans and active military and their families, LGBTQIA causes, human rights, social justice, and many others as the needs arise.

A longtime hockey enthusiast, she has developed a vast array of youth, college and ECHL programs and events in Idaho. She has served in support of Boise State Men’s Hockey as president of the Bronco Hockey Boosters for thirteen years. She founded a 501-C-3 non-profit that procures funding for the BSU hockey program and assisted in developing a host of events and programs that helped the Boise State Hockey become a highly competitive NCAA/ACHA team, while collaborating in the advancement of mentoring and oversight programs on behalf of the dedicated student athletes of Boise State Men’s Hockey. 

Rocci has received the following awards in recognition of her work in the community:

• 2017 Recipient of the City of Boise’s Mayors Award for Excellence in Arts & History for “Support of the Arts”.
• 2021 Recipient of the Downtown Boise Association's Cooley Award for "Commitment and Contributions to the Downtown Boise Community".
• 2022 Recipient of the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights "Powerhouse of Acceptance Award"
• 2024 Recipient of the Prestigious Idaho Icon Award from the Idaho Business Review
